After further consideration...

It's not often that I'm wrong. But I'm willing to admit when I am. Haven given it some thought, I actually do think that Chris Rock's comments were funny in varying degrees. I think my original annoyance stemmed from 1)that political jokes didn't seem appropriate for the venue (expected? yes. Appropriate? No.), and 2)The smug looks on the faces in the crowd. It reminded me how I loathe the self-righteous of Hollywood.

I don't think the Academy awards are a good venue for Rock, whom I find very funny. And while I thought the whole affair this weekend was really dull, I don't think it was Rock's fault. Plus, Rock was brave enough to make fun of the actors to their faces, so I give him credit for that...
